Took a long bike ride in oakland and took a few pictures. I found out what happens when you get caught in the tracks. Oakland is growing on me. The old factories are very beautiful. Angie left today she has been gone a few hours and I already miss her.

I been doing this for years, but as Ajha has explained there are groups that do this and they call it Urban exploration.
Urban exploration (often shortened as urbex or UE) is the examination of the normally unseen or off-limits parts of urban areas or industrial facilities.[1] Urban exploration is also commonly referred to as infiltration, although some people consider infiltration to be more closely associated with the exploration of active or inhabited sites. It may also be referred to as "draining" (when exploring drains) "urban spelunking", "urban caving", or "building hacking".
The nature of this activity presents various risks, including both physical danger and the possibility of arrest and punishment. Many, but not all, of the activities associated with urban exploration could be considered trespassing or other violations of local or regional laws. Last night was fun Fire Arts Festival and God Speed for a little music. I do have say that the 40$ for F.A.F. was not worth it. oakland is starting to grow on me.

I haven't written in a long time so here is an update. I have moved to Oakland (and it's fucken awesome!!!!) I have new kitten Dirty Pierre (also full of awesome!) I have not written off SF but it's not town It used to be. I hoping to reconnect with more my of the East bay friends and do new stuff. I will be going to the midnight showing of HARRY POTTER and the HALF-BLOOD PRINCE. If one would like to tagalong shoot-me message.

YBCA presents the largest scale presentation of work by Chicago-based artist and former Alvin Ailey dancer, Nick Cave, featuring fifty of his "Soundsuits"—multi-layered mixed-media, wearable sculptures named for the sounds made when the sculptures are worn. As reminiscent of African and religious ceremonial costumes as they are of haute couture, Cave's work explores issues of ceremony, ritual, myth and identity. He does this through a layering of concepts, highly-skilled techniques and varied traditions, using materials such as fabrics, beads, sequins, old bottle caps, rusted iron, sticks, twigs, leaves and hair. Mad, humorous, elaborate, grotesque, glamorous and unexpected, the Soundsuits are created from scavenged ordinary materials—detritus from both nature and culture—that Cave re-contextualizes into visionary masterpieces.

S. Darko takes place in the summer of 1995, seven years after the original film. It follows Donnie Darko's younger sister, Samantha (Daveigh Chase), who, in the wake of his death, has found herself at age 17 with a broken family, mired in feelings of insignificance. She and her best friend Corey (Evigan) set off on a road trip to Hollywood in a bid to 'make it big', but their journey is cut short when their car breaks down unexpectedly, leaving them stranded in a small desert town. When a meteorite happens to crash-land nearby, Samantha is plagued by bizarre visions telling of the universe's end and it appears that their breakdown was part of some grander plan.
